Our Mission Statement

TAP-NY is a chapter of TACL National, a 501c3 non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to connect, develop, and represent the Taiwanese American community in the greater NYC area by providing programming and partnership opportunities, and by supporting and promoting the evolving Taiwanese American identity everywhere.

TAP-NY events are open to all regardless of background. Whether your goal is personal or professional development, cultural engagement, or simply to have fun, get active, and meet new friends, we look forward to welcoming you to an upcoming event!

Meet the Board


The board of TAP-NY is a diverse and ambitious set of individuals committed to furthering TAP-NY’s mission. 				Alice was born and raised in New Jersey and studied Computer Science at Rutgers University. She currently works as a UX Designer in a healthtech startup. When she’s not working she’s exploring new restaurants, going on photowalks, and binging movies/tv shows.

				Amanda was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey and attended Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. She has been in NYC since graduation and currently works in tech doing customer success. 				Arthur was raised in Massachusetts and attended NYU, where he studied hospitality management with a specialization in hotel real estate finance and development. 				Brandon was born and raised in Miami, FL and attended college at Wake Forest University where he studied Finance. After working in Charlotte, NC, and Miami, FL for a few years, he moved to New York in July 2022 to pursue a career in Real Estate Banking with JPMorgan. In his free time, he enjoys fitness classes, dj-ing, traveling, and eating his way through the boroughs of New York.

				Bruce was born in Taiwan but raised in Aurora, Colorado. He graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and moved to Atlanta soon after where he was a strategy analyst at Delta Air Lines. Shortly after leaving Delta, he spent time back in Denver before moving to New York City to continue his career in tech sales. In his free time, Bruce enjoys playing soccer, producing dance tracks, and cooking healthy meals.

				Jasper was born and raised in the Bay Area in California and did his undergrad and masters in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he moved to New York City and currently works as an engineer at a hedge fund.
