The Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) is proudly known as “The First Home to Asian American Cinema.” Organized by Asian CineVision, it is the first and longest-running festival dedicated to showcasing the moving image work by media artists of Asian descent for and about the Asian diaspora experience.
The 44th festival is accepting submissions in a range of categories, including music videos and digital/web. TAP-NY members get an exclusive discount for submissions with code ‘3aRpdni‘ (no quotes) when submitting through AAIFF’s FilmFreeway.
This year’s festival will be a hybrid festival beginning August 11th, both online and offline in New York City. General rules for eligibility are as follows:
- Have at least one person of Asian descent from any nationality in a key creative role (i.e., Director, Writer, Producer, DP, etc.)
- Represent the Asian diaspora experience
